The GAA published a very important report by their National Demographics Committee today (December 5, 2025), recognising the need for new clubs in rapidly growing urban areas. The report, titled 'No One Shouted Stop - Until Now' is the GAA's response to Ireland's demographic shift.
Uachtarán Jarlath Burns spoke about this when visiting Eastern Gaels on September 7 last and consistently referenced the formation of our club in interviews about the report.
During his visit, An Uachtarán said, “There are lessons that can be learned from your experience of creating a new club in an area where it is the most rational, logical thing that we should be creating new clubs.”
“Setting up a GAA club is an onerous task and the fact that you are here and that you are thriving, and that you have a plan, speaks volumes to your leadership.”
